Is Fracking Safe?

1. Do you think Fracking is safe? What are the environmental and human impacts of Fracking?

-No, Fracking is very harmful to the environment because it disrupts  it.  Sometimes, the water from fracking harms the drinking water, causing water to become contaminated, which ultimately causes serious health conditions to arise.  The gas produced from fracking makes the air a much poorer air quality, which harms the environment.  Furthermore, fracking is extremely dangerous for the workers; they are always at risk.  In conclusion, the negatives of fracking heavily outweigh the positives because fracking harms almost everyone and everything around it.

2. If your neighbor decides to allow for companies to frack on their land do you think you should be notified and or be able to have a say in yes or no that they can frack on their land?

-Yes, because even if the fracking is done on their land, it still could cause harm to my land and my health.  It could even cause me to move to a different home because of it being so harmful.  There should be a law stating the minimum of area from my house to the neighbor's house to be able to frack.

3. Do you think that court cases should be sealed? Do you think that if there is information about negative impacts should that be released to the public?

-No, because it would not be fair to the people involved in the court cases.  Yes, I think that the negative impacts should be released to the public because they are involved in the court cases, too.
